California Harley-Davidson/Buell has been recognized by Harley-Davidson Motor Company for their outstanding accomplishments during the 2005 Model Year and awarded the company's most prestigious Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award based upon an evaluation of customer satisfaction, motorcycle and related product sales, well trained and knowledgeable staff, their facility, and other dealership measures.

Over 700 dealerships were rated by Harley-Davidson using a predetermined set of criteria and only the top 25 highest ranking dealerships were presented with the 2005 Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award at ceremonies during Harley-Davidson's annual Winter Dealer meeting event.
